I have a 6 month old!

Wow does time fly! I can't believe that Brady is 6 months old. I swear it was just yesterday that I was pregnant and dreaming about what my little boy would be like.

I remember those first days when I just keep thinking, lets just get to 3 months, 6 months, things will get easier, he will sleep through the night, he won't cry constantly. It seemed like 6 months would take forever to get to but it really didn't. And things did get better. I am back to getting sleep at night and am lucky to spend my days with the worlds most precious little man. I wish that I could just press pause on him for right now. He is a much happier baby now and I don't really want him to get any older! He is so close to crawling it's scary! He's getting up on his knees now but doesn't really get that he should move his legs when he's up. I love watching him get closer day after day and seeing the things he's accomplishing blows me away. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with him and get to see everything he's learning to do, get to watch every reaction to new foods, and to enjoy the silly and the lazy times together. I honestly couldn't imagine it any other way. Brady had his 6 month checkup and he was 17 lbs, 4 oz and 26.25 inches. He was 50% for both. This is more accurate because I was able to get in 2 days after he turned 6 months, versus last time when he was almost 5 months, which is why I think he was in the 90th percentile for height and weight! He's very healthy and the doctor was impressed again by his strength and his ability to concentrate on objects. Since people know I'm big on half birthdays, Brady got his own toy cell phone for his half birthday and he loves it. I'm sure he'll tell you all about it in his next post.

Looking back:

He's gotten so big! Brady had his 6 month pictures and he wasn't the happiest baby ever, but we managed to get some cute fall pictures in there. We're getting our family pictures taken this weekend so hopefully he's our smiley boy! We were very excited this past weekend to carve pumpkins for the first time with Brady. I remember last year being pregnant thinking, I'm going to have a 6 month old at this time next year! I couldn't even fathom what that was going to be like! I'm very excited for this weekend. Brian has been gone since Sunday doing the advanced portion of his survival training and will be back on Saturday. We have family pictures, and then we are hosting a Halloween party. Halloween is probably my second favorite holiday, close behind Christmas. I can't tell you what our costumes are going to be, you'll just have to stay tuned! :) We plan on going trick or treating around our neighborhood early so we can meet some of the neighbors we haven't met yet, and then are looking forward to handing out candy for the first time at our new house! Busy weekend with lots of pictures!
Here are some pictures from our pumpkin carving:

So excited to carve pumpkins!

Our pumpkins

Yay for carving!

Brady with his pumpkin

Rascal with his pumpkin. He was thrilled. I must have taken 20 pictures trying to get him to stay still and this was the best one.

Me and my pumpkin

Brian's finished pumpkin on our step. Great way to meet the neighbors.

Well, we did it again. We said we wouldn't, but Rascal really wanted to give it another shot. We entered another dog costume contest, this time at Petsmart. Rascal decided to be a Jersey Shore dog. We tried to spike up his hair (it didn't really stay) and he wore a muscle shirt with a swimsuit, and wore a chain that said GTL on it (for those who are familiar with the show). Well they didn't get it, and Rascal didn't even place in the top 3. A cat got 2nd and a stupid clown dog got 1st. I swear we are cursed, like the Twins. Oh well, it was worth the try!

Waiting nervously for the results. Did I win Mom?

Brady was even a matching Jersey Shore baby.

Minnesota Trip

First, I have to give a shout out to Brady, the recent Tiny Toots gradaute. As promised, I am blogging about our quick trip to Minnesota. We decided very last minute to shoot over quick to Minnesota to see my parents new place and to let Brady see both sets of grandparents. We had a great time but were sad that we didn't get to see too many people due to our short visit. The weather was great, and Brian and I were able to go on a date which was wonderful! :) It was great to see both of our parents and to see Brady interacting with them even more now. Here are some pictures from our trip:

Hiking in Eagan. I love this picture, I think Brady wanted Rascal's ear in his mouth!

Beautiful hike!

I love fall, so does Casey! :)

Tiny Toots Graduate!

So, I'm not sure if everyone forgot or what, but I didn't receive any phone calls, texts, cards, presents, nothing on Tuesday for my Tiny Toots graduation. I'll let it slide this time, but please people keep up with my life. This is Brady blogging by the way if you're too slow to catch on. Geez. So basically Miss Amy (my swimming teacher) was like oh, Brady you're the best 5 month old I've ever had the pleasure of teaching swimming to. I was like lady, you better believe I'm the best student to have swam through your Tiny Toots class ever. Here are some pictures from my last swimming class.

I was just about to do a swan dive into the pool but my stupid mom had to take a picture and I don't let people take my picture swimming unless I'm getting paid.

Umm I'm pretty sure I asked for the water to be a calm 93 degrees, not 92 degrees.

I think Dad's more excited to watch me swim than I am to swim for these amateurs.

Dad, let go I can take it from here!

Perfect. Form.

My mom and I

Look at their faces. It doesn't take much to thrill this crowd. People it's not that hard to swim through a hula hoop.

And off I go!

Best swimmer in the class! Just another thing I've accomplished so far.
Just thought I would share some pictures from my Olympic training. Lots of people have been asking, and you have to give the people what they want. We went to Minnesota last weekend for a short visit to see Grandma and Grandpa and Nana and Papa. I'm sure my mom will blog later all about it. Sorry in advance. Well I have my 6 month pictures tomorrow, even though I'm 2 days short of 6 months (mom everyone's going to know!) so I had better go rest up. Nite, nite my people!

Rascal Romeo Ross

Hello, this is Triple R. If you would like to read the other updates, please refer to the previous 2 posts from my brother and my mother. Here are some pictures I took this weekend:

So I told my stupid brother, yo baby, I've been lots of hikes with mom and dad. If you can't keep up, we will leave you. I've hiked mountains before.

Camo Rascal! My dad taught me cool survival tricks.

Hiking is awesome!!!

My dad is so cool. SO talented!

I. Look. Great.

Mom and I with her birthday present I got her. Body pillow=snuggle magic

ARF FORCE. Get it? I got so many comments. Typical.

Hey, little boy carry my crap

The Offutt Pet Fair was the best!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom looks blind, but I look good. I've been working out, thanks for noticing.

I would like to introduce you to myball. Myball is my best friend and it squeaks and it's round and it's red and white and it rolls.

Brady Post

This is the B to the R to the A to the D and the Y....BRADY! I just wanted to show off a few pictures and tell about the weekend the right way since Mom likes to sugarcoat everything, oh our life is wonderful fall trees, birthday cake, blah blah. Her real life is full of baby barf and poop. Also remember when we lost the pacifier in the forest? Thanks a lot Dad!

Only the real gangster babies drool

Oh good, this was before the parents lost the pacifier. Thanks guys!

So it was Mom's birthday and I thought to myself, what does my mom need? And I came up with the perfect gift...a banana holder. Here we are pictured with it and to top it all off, my shirt says Bananas over Mommy. Baby genius.

This picture was forced. I tried to throw up right before it so I wouldn't have to take the picture but Dad still took it. Blah

We had to go to this stupid Pet Fair and all I got was this stupid freakin Petco frisbee. "This fair is for your brother, blah, blah." The frisbee was awesome to chew on though. Too bad I got to it after the St Bernards did. Oh well.

I'm going to be honest, this solid food thing is awesome. But I tried the worst thing ever the other day. Mom called them bananas, I called them horrible garbage. I instantly regretted the banana holder present.

Crap, I'm really going to have to re-think this monkey Halloween costume. Bananas are the worst thing invented.

So I was watching the Twins game and I ripped off my sleeper out of anger. C'mon Twins get a d*&$ hit!

Watching with my dad. I hate the Yankees and I'm not even 6 months old yet. That tells you how horrible they are.

Seriously, didn't we just do this like yesterday? Can't we go to Baby Gap or Babies R Us or something?

Oh this is good. So my genius parents try and take the stroller off the boardwalk on the trails. Did you not see the rocks? My mom went on ahead to go check out the Missouri River and I was napping peacefully in my stroller. My dad decides hey let's ditch the stroller and go see the river too! So he parks my stroller on the edge of a cliff, no lie, the edge. A squirrel could have farted and that thing would have been bye bye. So my dad puts my exhausted self in the carrier with my pacifier. Of course it falls out, what do you expect? An hour later mom is like, hey where's his pacifier? Needless to say we are re-tracing our steps to find the pacifier.

This one is your fault guys, I ain't looking for it.

Did you guys honestly get college degrees? They let you take me home from the hospital? Oh wait, there it is!! In the brush we found my soulmate, my green pacifier.

Hey baby, what's your name? Yeah I may be strapped to my dad but I do sleep in my crib alone. Holler at me girl.

Man I look good

Wait, how many deer licked my pacifier?

My dad recorded me playing and pushing poopy out. Ok sickos, not the actual poop coming out, but just making the noise. They seem to think it's hilarious, I think it just proves how hard I work.
Till next time folks!
Love,
Brady Brian Ross
