A Message from Brady

Hi everyone this is Brady. My mom always does this blog thing and I thought for once I should give her a break and do it for her. So I know everyone just checks this just to see my handsome face. And I want you all to know my handsome face is doing really well, I haven't scratched myself in at least a week. Also I am eating really well and sleeping pretty well. Sometimes I just like to get up in the middle of the night to play with my mom and dad though, can you blame me? My mom was out one day and my dad was watching me and I thought it would be soo funny to play a joke on my dad. So I pushed as hard as I could and my diaper exploded and poopy got everywhere. Dad didn't laugh, but mom sure did when dad told her about it! I'm good at that. Umm other than that my life is pretty routine. My mom signed me up for swimming lessons (I know, swimming lessons for a 4 month old, who does that?!) but I really like the water and am looking forward to meeting some young girls. (Sorry Alex, but when you don't return my calls, what is a man to do?) Oh also I learned how to blow bubbles this week and I do it constantly. I do it in Target, church, the neighbor's house, in the car, in the bath, in my crib, on skype with my grandma and grandpa, I pretty much do it everywhere. Well it's really past my bedtime and this almost 4 month old needs his beauty sleep. Peace ya'll!

Alex if you read this, here's proof I've been trying to call you
Can you resist this handsome face? I think not.

Dad showing me how a Droid works. I'm hoping to get one for my 6 month birthday.

Yeahh, Go Twins!!

My mom and I. She's pretty cool.

My Jr. GQ photo shoot. May have to work on the abs.

So, these fishies are the coolest thing. Sometimes they talk to me and they make me make fishy faces to them. So I do.

My mom has to take pictures of me doing everything. So. Annoying.

Seriously mom! I'm doing my thing in the pool, put the camera down!!

Me blowing bubbles. Watch this be #1 on YouTube. Watch out Justin Bieber!

Brady's Baptism!

We went home this past weekend to get Brady baptized. We were lucky enough to have the man that married us, Deacon Dave, baptize our first son. We had a great time with friends and family celebrating his baptism!! Brady sure is a spoiled little boy. While we were home for that short time, we were able to spend some time with friends and family, show Brady around the University of Minnesota (where he really wants to go now!), and even get a date in!

Brian passed his checkride and is now qualified to fly the RC-135. He just has a few other things to get done in the training squadron and then will leave for survival on the 2nd of September. We are so proud of him, but are going to miss him so much the month that he's gone! We're hoping to take a weekend trip to Colorado before that, but we will see! Here are some pictures from our trip home and from his baptism:

I'm afraid he bleeds Gopher blood! :)

Summer Lovin

I honestly think that the hardest part of blogging for me is thinking of a stupid title! I can never think of a witty, appropriate one to post. Oh well! The past few weeks have flown by!

We were blessed to have some visitors recently and Brady had a great time playing with everyone. Brian's Aunt Judy came to visit and brought along two of her past foreign exchange students Flo and Marika, and also two family friends from the Navajos Mallory and Cole. We had a great time with them and was glad that Brady was able to meet them all, especially his Great Aunt Judy! The next day, my friends Laura and Alex came to visit. We had a blast together and the weekend went by way too fast. I got to show them around Omaha a little bit and just a great time hanging out! Brady has developed quite a crush on Alex and loved staring at her and always wanted her to hold him. I think the age difference is a little much, but you can't get in the way of love! :)

Brian is having his checkride as we speak. Matter of fact, I can hear him flying patterns over our house right now!! I baked a bunch of muffins, cookies, and cupcakes to butter up his instructor that's grading him, so hopefully all goes well! Brian also found out his survival dates and will be gone from Sept 2-Sept 26. Most likely Brady, Rascal, and I will be in Minnesota for a couple weeks starting Labor Day weekend. We will miss him a lot but are excited to spend some quality time with both grandparents and hopefully enjoy some cooler weather!

This summer has been killer so far. We have had a heat index of 100+ the past 6 days and it has been miserable. I don't even want to see our energy bill! We haven't been able to go on any walks or do anything outside because the moment you get out, you start sweating. I thought I wasn't in Mississippi anymore, but the summer here has been just about as hot and humid as it was down there. I am ready for fall and to be outdoors a lot!!

We are getting Brady baptized this weekend up in Minnesota and are so excited to see family and friends and to celebrate Brady's first sacrament. I will post pictures when we get back! Here are some recent pictures, sorry that they're out of order!

Brian got me a blanket for our anniversary that was a picture of our family and one night when I came to bed, he scared the crap out of me with it!

Brady loves standing up and playing with Mommy and Daddy

Brady in his new walker that he likes sitting in. Can't walk with it yet, but he loves to be upright so he can see everything so this works out well, plus it rolls!

Picked our first corn from our house! :) Brian is so proud!
