Just What We Needed

I'll be honest that the last couple of months haven't been easy. They've been stressful and I haven't been the best Mom or wife that I could be.  I think that with the stress of all of the upcoming changes along with the fact that it was winter, we all were in a frump.
So moving here for 2 months has kind of been a blessing in disguise. We've been able to spend good quality family time together that doesn't include cleaning or packing.

We've been able to play outside most days and I haven't seen the kids happier.

Heck, even the dog is happier!

We've been discovering new places

like the zoo,

statues ('08 Richter!),

helicopters and airplanes,

and new foods.

And each morning when the kids wake up they excitedly ask, "What are we doing today?!"

There haven't been any things that we need to rush to in the mornings

so we've just been able to slow down our life a little and relax

and enjoy the beauty of where we are.

So for now, Sweet Home Alabama it is. And we'll enjoy every second (well mostly every second, that's another post though) of it until the madness starts again...in approx 5 weeks. :)

I simply love your perspective on this 2 month "getaway". THAT alone makes you an amazing mom!
