The Bloody Egg and Other Random Thursday Thoughts!

This is a not a fertility post, I swear.

I literally cracked open an egg yesterday to make an egg bake for my MOPS meeting and it was bloody. It was the weirdest, most random, grossest thing that I of course had to take a picture of.  I  Googled it and one link was "I cracked an egg, it was bloody. Who can I sue?" That thought didn't occur to me, but hey that's a good idea! Although the responses were basically telling this guy he was an idiot. So yeah, I had my first bloody cracked egg yesterday. I luckily had another case of eggs so I used those without an incident.

I watched our friend Addelyn the other day and it was a girls only playdate. And the differences between boys and girls are so crazy. This playdate was quiet. There were no car noises, no fighting, just giggles and lots of playing with toy food and babies.  I know girls get harder when they get older, but gosh little girls are just so wonderful.

I'm pretty sure everyone is trying to fatten me up. And I love it.  I can't even tell you the amount of cakes, cookies, bars, bread, and calorie-filled goodness that has entered this house the past couple weeks. Goodness!  I REALLY need to get back into my running schedule so I don't weigh 400 pounds when Brian gets back.

Speaking of Brian, we are almost 2 weeks into this deployment. And I don't want to jinx myself but it's going well.  We've been so incredibly busy, I still have my sanity (for now), and I have help this weekend! My parents are coming into town this weekend and my in-laws will be here next weekend, yay!  Brady has been great this deployment. Last time around the holy terror switch turned on the day Brian left but this time around he's been good! I think preschool and having playdates are really helping him. Layla's been a little out of sorts. I know she misses her Daddy (as does Brady) but she just can't vocalize it so she just kind of melts down.  Here's to the rest of the time flying by whilst still being sane!

The leaves are changing, the air is getting cooler, and it's just plain beautiful around here. Which is so well displayed by my Target parking lot picture of the trees. What can I say, photography is just in my blood.

Happy Thursday! :)

I think if that happened to me, I would cry and never eat eggs again! So gross, haha... glad you were able to move on from it!
