Tuesday's post was a little heavy so to lighten things up, I (after seeing this on so many blogs) present to you things Brady says aka Out of the Mouth of a Preschooler:
Brady's words are in blue:
Everyone he doesn't know he calls 'people' which can be a little awkward.
"Hey people! I got the hiccups!
"Hey people! My name is Brady. I like your shirt!"
"That's not Daddy..that's people!"
"Hey people! What are you doing? Did you buy clothes? Did you buy diapers? People!! What did you have for breakfast people?"
Our other favorite topic is potty talk. We're still learning what's proper to say in public and what's just not proper to say anywhere!
After a potty training discussion I asked Brady where we go potty expecting a 'not in my pants' answer. "We go pee pee in the potty. Not in Layla's face, not in Layla's eyes, not in her mouth. Right, Mommy?" What??!!
"I can't go potty ( and pick up my toys, go to bed, etc)....it''s too broken....too hot.....too scary....too late."
"I can't go pee. My penis is broken. Penis? Penis? Mommy my penis is broken!!!"
On a road trip in a public bathroom..."Mommy? Are you going poopy? Push it out Mommy, you're doing so good, good job Mommy!!!" Thanks, bud.
"Daddy's got a ba-gina, Mommy has a penis, right Mommy?"
At Target buying toilet paper. "Daddy? Toliet paper? To wipe my dirty booty?"
Pulling up his underwear in a public bathroom he had some trouble and his little member popped out of his underwear. "Look, Mommy! My penis is playing hide and seek." I could seriously go on and on the funny things he says about his privates but I know grandparents read this, so I'll stop! :)
Out of nowhere Brady comes up to me, hugs me, and says, "Mommy, I like your boobies."
Brady talking to Layla. "Layla, you need to stop crying. It's not funny and it's not cute."
"Mommy, look! It's a stop sign for kids. I asked him why they have these and he said, "It's just a sign that says, KIDS! Stop playing, kids!" Ok?
Oh, Brady thanks for always keeping us laughing...even if you do announce to everyone every time what I'm doing in the bathroom.
Hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend. We're off to Fargo (yah, you betcha) for Brian's brother's wedding! Many, many pictures to come!!! :)
