It's Been Busy

October was seriously one of the busiest months we've had in a long time. It was so much fun, so tiring, and so great all at the same time. So what did we do?

1. Lots of Fall Fun
We had to hit up a pumpkin patch. I mean what else says fall than a pumpkin patch?!

We painted pumpkins with friends

And did some trick or treating of course! More Halloween pictures to come in a future post.

2. Squadron Activities

I hosted a "My Favorite Things" social and it was a huge hit! It was so much fun!

Our squadron hosted an Air Force Academy football tailgate. They were playing New Mexico so being the appropriate squadron we are, we hosted a fiesta. Also, so much fun.

It included a bouncy house,

lots of beer and food. Oh and a margarita machine too. Because, fiesta.

And I was in charge of the pinata purchasing and stuffing. Here's Brady hitting the kid's pinata.

And here's Brian hitting the adult pinata. Full of booze.  Which we had to wrangle out of the non-listening kids arms.

The beautiful spouses of the glider squadron!

Go Air Force!

And we went to the Air Force Academy's trunk or treat. FIRE!

3. Visitors

Seriously moving to Colorado was the best thing we could have done for our visitor status. We have had SO many visitors and it's been awesome. My dear, dear friends Laura and Alex visited from Minnesota the other weekend and we seriously had so much fun. Like way too much fun as in I haven't been that tired in a long time, had to take 2 days to recover kind of fun.

Friends since 2004 (Alex, college roomie) and since 1991 (Laura, kindergarten friend and Brady's godmother!)

The kids adore them! :)

This girl will let anyone but me do her hair. She literally thought she was a princess.

We had a drunk guy take our picture..just a tad blurry!

And our visitors this weekend were Brian's parents! More on that in a future post! :)

4. Got our first fall illnesses
I think we tad overdid it this month and sadly, got our first fall colds. I got sick first but with my doTERRA oils was able to get better fairly quickly. The kids got sick at the same time, insisted on sitting together on this chair "being sick" together but luckily their sicknesses were short lived. These oils, I tell ya, they work!

5. Enjoy the beautiful fall Colorado weather

Fall has been splendid here in Colorado. Can't complain one bit. Super sunny, beautiful 70 degree weather, and beautiful fall colors.

Except for that one day it snowed, yeah that wasn't super cool. Luckily it was barely a dusting.

Here's to it being November (already?!) and almost Thanksgiving and Christmas time!

Your month sure was full!! It all (except the sickness) sounds like fun, though! :)
