And The Travels Continue!

The morning after checking out the trains in Omaha one last time, the kids and I jumped in the car (packed full to the brim ONCE again) and drove the 6 hours to Minnesota. Brian had to work 4 more days so he stayed with a friend in Omaha to finish out his time there.  I have to say the kids are absolute travel troopers. They were so excited to get to Minnesota to see our families that they didn't really mind another 6 hours in the car.
So to reward them we had a little ice cream stop.  Where we entertained fellow travelers with our melting ice cream cones and squeals of ice cream delight.

Finally after a little over 6 hours, we made it to Minneapolis!

Our time here has been pretty great. Brady and I take pretty much daily Caribou coffee dates.

And we play baseball at lunchtime.

We got to celebrate my parent's 30th anniversary with them. Sadly, this was the best picture we got from that night out, haha! Layla was in rare sass form this evening.

We've been enjoying the fabulous 70 degree with no humidity weather by being outside all. the. time.

We've hiked the trails,

and had lunch by pretty lakes.

We've also done the grocery shopping. Some work needs to be done with all of this play.

And lots and lots of new playground playing.

My mom and I even went out for some bar bingo one night. I won the jackpot, no big deal! $50, haha!!

We went to the nearby library

and checked out some books.

And since Brady thinks Minnesota = winter (where is the snow, Mommy?!) they played Santa. These kids.

So glad these kiddos have gotten to spend time with both sets of grandparents!

All of this, just in our first week here!
