Happy 2011!

Happy New Year!! Ok, I know it's 6 days into the new year, but cut me some slack! :) Hope everyone's New Years Eve was fun and safe! We anticipated having a quiet New Year's Eve, but at the last minute decided to host a fondue night at our house with some friends. Even though the fondue wasn't as easy as anticipated, it still was a fun evening! Brady couldn't make it until midnight, but we went into his room and gave him a kiss when the new year changed over. Our new year so far has been a sickly one. I've still been sick with a stupid virus, and unfortunately Brady caught it too. He got pink eye on the third (lovely) and then the virus moved into his chest on the fifth. It was scary for mommy hearing her little boy barking like a seal, but he seems to be doing much better now. It's so hard to know if your child is suffering from something serious or if it's just a virus that will pass. No one said parenthood was easy and boy do I agree! Although I don't think we could ask for a better year than we had in 2010 (Brian getting his pilot wings, moving to Omaha, buying a house, having a Brady boy, having Brian home most of the year, and traveling several times to see family) we are looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us! I'm not looking forward to Brian's deployment in March, but I know that duty calls and that he is fully trained and ready to defend our freedom! I am currently taking reservations at the Papillion Ross Inn for March-June for anyone that wants to come keep me company! :) Here are some pictures from our New Year's Eve:
