Florida Day 3

The next day we decided to drive a little bit and check out another beach.
We woke up the next morning and had to go check "our" ocean real quick.

Then we drove over to Kennedy Space Center. We really wanted to go but with 2 young kids we didn't know if it would be worth the price. It was cool to see though even from the outside! Next trip!
Brady was already exhausted and it was only 10 am!

Driving and you could see the launch pad. Wish there had been a launch while we were there!

My sweet little beach girl

Had to get some park time in before beach time

Having a quick snack before hittin the waves

Our little set up on the beach

She was ready....and then screamed for a good half hour until we realized her swimsuit was too small and cutting into her little body. It was cute while it lasted.

Ready to go play in the ocean

Why am I sinking??

Quick lunch before more water time. He LOVED the ocean!

Family picture

It was so sunny. This was the best shot we could get!

Walking along the pier

Jetty Park was the beach/park that we were at.  Highly recommend it if you're in the Cocoa Beach area!!

Looking for turtles and dolphins

We saw a bunch of dolphins on the east side of these rocks. Made my trip! :)

We even found a DQ in Florida!

We rounded out our time at Patrick AFB with a sunset stroll on the beach

The sun setting over Patrick AFB

That night we had a family dinner out....

At a place called Beef O' Brady's! That's Brady at the bottom of the picture! :)

Next, Day 4: Disney!

Florida Day 2

Everyone got a great night of sleep and we set off first thing for the beach.
I just love the ocean!

It was a little bright out and Brady wasn't sure what to think of seeing the ocean for the first time during the day!

He liked seeing his footprints on the beach though!

Layla wasn't too sure what to think either
Walk on the beach with my little man.

Then we ventured to Patrick AFB (our TLFs weren't on base, they were just slightly west of them).  This was their marina.  So beautiful!

Layla enjoyed watching the animals at the marina. I think.

She also enjoyed lunch.

Then we went back to our TLF to get our sun gear to spend some more time at the beach!

Layla playing with her toys and waiting patiently for everyone to get ready.

Well by the time we got out there it was super windy and cloudy but we made the best of it.

Brian decided to wear Layla in her baby Bjorn.  Hot daddy.

Trying to find the perfect location for a sand castle.

Hi Layla!

Going for a stroll on the beach

Yay beach!

Brian and Layla making fun of me. Real funny guys.

Florida Day 1

This was over a month and a half ago but now that I've got blogger working I thought I'd blog about our Florida trip.  This summer we had a brilliant idea that we should take a family vacation.  My only requirement was some beach time so we came up with Florida. Brian had never been to Disney so we thought with the great deals we can get through the military, why not spend some time at the beach and then some time at Disney World?  We left on December 1st for Florida and spent 2 full days at Patrick AFB (near Cocoa Beach) and then 2 full days at Disney World.  Here are some pictures from our trip:

At the airport. We just had a little bit of luggage. Just a little bit. And believe when I say I felt every pound of that luggage carrying it to each location! :)

Layla posing by our plane and holding her ticket. She's so excited she can't contain herself.

I was SO nervous about the plane ride.  3 whole hours with no where to go with potentially screaming children was my biggest fear ever!  They did great though (thank you iPad, carseat, pacifiers, and mommy milk) and Brady acted like it was no thing to be on a plane!

Brady had to call Gramma and Grampa and tell them all about the airport and the plane ride....so fun!

Just chillin with some juice in the Orlando airport

Then we took an hour drive to Patrick AFB.

The first thing we did was walk to the ocean (right outside our door!).  Kids were not too impressed.

Here is our TLF. It was 2 bedrooms with a kitchen and living room and just steps from the beach.  Couldn't ask for more!

Ready to start our Florida vacation!!

We're Back!

So sorry for the lack of updates in the last month! Blogger was giving me troubles (trying to charge me to upload more pictures) but I think we got it figured out so here we are again!  I'm going to try and blog about December and then we'll get to the future!  I hope that most of you got our Christmas card this year but if not, here are some pictures we took as a family before we left for Florida:
Brady got bribed by marshmallows and all of a sudden turned into supermodel Brady.  Not sure where he got this pose from but we went with it!

Again, being a cheese for the camera!

Miss Layla was not really feeling pictures that day but we did get one good shot of her!
