Hello from snowy, cold Bellevue, NE! We made it! It's been a crazy week!! We finally got the ok from TMO last week and they were able to come move our things that Thursday, the 4th. However, I guess that they usually send someone out a day in advance to pack up the things so that when the movers get there, all they have to worry about is packing it up and driving it to the destination. We did not know this. So I don't know if they didn't do this because of our time crunch or what, but when the movers came on Thursday, they were not prepared for our things to not be packed. They weren't happy, but packed our things and 14 hours (yes, 14 hours) later our things were on their way! It was a long day but I was just happy that they were able to move our things. So at 1 am once they were gone, Brian and I tried to clean the apartment the best that we could so that we could check out of our apartment and make our way to Omaha. We got up the next morning at 6 am, finished cleaning, Brian outprocessed, got our apartment inspected, and we began our journey to Nebraska! We stopped for the night in Springfield, MO because I was exhausted and then drove the rest of the way on Saturday. We got in to Nebraska at about 12 pm and then met with our realtor at 1:30 pm! We looked at 12 houses and by that time I was ready to crash! We're staying in the temporary housing right now at Offutt AFB and it's really really tiny barely bigger than our bedroom at our apartment so we were very motivated to find a house. The next day we looked at 4 houses and we absolutely fell in love with two of them. It was a really hard decision but we decided on one, and made an offer all before the Superbowl! Within two hours we heard back from the sellers and they accepted our offer but extended the closing date by a week. So by Sunday night, 30 hours after we arrived in Nebraska we had a house! The family that we're buying it from is military as well, moving to Texas, so they were very motivated to sell. We are closing on it on March 22 and we're going to move into a furnished apartment for a month because this TLF is just too small to live in for over a month. We absolutely love the area we're going to be living in and couldn't be happier! It's definitely a step up from Columbus. So that's what has been going on with us! Here are some pictures of the outside of our new home. We have an inspection on Thursday and I will take pictures of the inside and post them later!
This is the subdivision we'll be living in
